People who would rather ship a working thing this week than produce a document about shipping it next quarter.

Comfortable in regulated work
Government and defense programs come with constraints. The people who enjoy this work treat those constraints as part of the design problem.

Technically curious
The stack changes. What holds is the habit of reading the documentation, understanding the system underneath, and being skeptical of tools that promise to remove the thinking.

Able to work small
In a team this size there is nowhere to hide and no one to hand a problem to. That suits some people enormously and others not at all.

Direct
We would rather hear that an estimate is wrong on day three than on day thirty. Saying so is treated as good judgement, not bad news.
